Today is the day that the Lord has made . Let us rejoice and be glad in it..My children and their families made it to our house and we had dinner and fun, and laughter the entire time. We did miss Paul, Angie, and Brandon. Even the little ones in our family were here. They are so cute. Harrison and Colin are very close. Kristin will be going with the Michigan State Marching Band to the Alamo Bowl game on January 2. She will be playing the saxophone. Sue brought her new friend, Andy, and we were not overwhelming for him.
What a glorious day!

The big day is almost here.
Christmas is almost here. Christmas trees are cut down, put up and decorated. We have events to go this week. It started with the Knapp Wigilia. Seeing members of Chet's family. Must be at least 125 people in attendance. With David, Joan and the kids coming we have many plans. We have made old friends and some NEW FRIENDS and I don't mean Facebook. The Knapp family has a Chorus now made up of Adults and children. Everyone sang 12 days of Christmas. Today, my husband, Larry has started his 75th year. Cake and ice cream were in order. Now, we wait just like the children for Santa . And we all know he is real by the love in our hearts.

December 13
Well, it happens. My husband turns 74 tomorrow. We do not decorate for Christmas until Larry has his birthday, etc. Oh, its OK to do Christmas shopping but no decorations. Makes snse to me. My daughter and I did her shopping yesterday. Mine is all done. All we have to work on are the menus for our family dinners on Dec. 20 and Dec. 24. By the way, my son, David and his family will be here from Denver. It has been 2 years since I have seen the kids. Dave tells they are taller than Iam. We will see.

Parkinsons Disease
Today we had the opportunity of hearing a lecture on the brain surgery our pastor's
wife went through. This surgery has calmed her down and is not shaking like she used to. With me having Parkinson's, it was most intersting. A clip was shown with Michael J. Fox and his learning how to golf. His walk is similar to me. I hope I never get those symptoms. I don't think my family can handle that.

Tuesdays around here are craazzzzy. It's the overflow from Monday. Didn't do anything speacial but gee, I'm tired.
This morning I cut out 13 internment gowns for infants. When they are finished, they will go to the Hospital or the nearest funeral. I get a lot of satisfaction doing this. Yesterday I made 2 more chemo caps. Spent time on the computer. It is getting boring, the computer thst is. Have a good and healthy Thanksgiving.

Music, Music, Music
Today was a great day. We traveled to Lansing to hear the Michigan State Spooktacular with members of the Music department. Thre were 300 musicans on the stage at one time. Our grandaughter is a member of the saxophone section of the marching band. It sure was nice to see Lindsay for the first time since school started. Kristin, Larry, Karen, and Susan made the whole day just perfect.

Gifts
It seems that every day holds its many moods and conficts. It is our job to help those people along the process and do it with love. Sitting here makes me feel the whole world will share troubles and conflicts and the only thing that can help is faith. Faith in God, faith in the people we love and don't love, faith in the system, and faith in ourselves. May God share that gift with everyone.

Yep, it's Friday again. It has been a busy week. Had 2 performances this week doing Petticoat Ladies. We have another 3 next week. Love doing it. Been crocheting a lot this week. Made a purse and and an afghan and helped my daughter Karen a little with her crocheting. It has been raining for two days now and it seems like fall is on its way. They said it has been snowing up north in Michigan. Snow can be an ugly word. Right?

Easy Does it
This past weekend was just that "nice and easy". Friday and Saturday were home busy and on Sunday after
church we went to the Park for services and a picnic. Great fun. Worked on my crochet afghan in the evening.
Tomorrow I must practise my knitting. I have taught my daughter, Karen, the beginnings of crochet.

It feels like fall
The temperature outside is somewhere between 60 and 70 degrees. There are some trees starting to change color. The kids have gone back to school and some of us are working on our crafts. My friend, Chris, came over today and fixed my blogs which I messed up royally. I hope they are working now.

I'm trying
Trying to figure this bloging out is confusing. But I will keep at it. Been crocheting hankies all week. Made about 100 crocheted flowers for my friend Chris who does card making. I took my hankies to my knitting class and my teacher would like to display them at the Library with other projects from other students. Display starts on 9/1 and will be there for the entire month of September. Our daughter Susan who lives in Perrysburg, Ohio visited us on Friday and we had a great time at lunch. Looking forward to starting our acting group again. The Petticoat Ladies are a Historical Re enactment group and our favorite program is Presidental First Ladies of the Victorian Era. I portray Julia Dent Grant.
This week.

Fall is on its way
The weatherman tells us this is the last day of summer. We had a great summer. Love it just this way. My daughter, Karen, went on a shopping trip and bought me 3 different skeins of yarns. I am teaching her how to crochet and I am learning to knit. More hobbies to keep my mind active. Karen gave me another lighthouse for my collection. Most of my collection is in the form of pictures. There are over 100 lighthouses coating the state of Michigan. My favorite is in my picture and is the large one. This was painted by a friend of mine. He has since died of cancer. But I treasure the picture.
